The Minnesota University Landscape Arboretum is located in the Excelsior/Chanhassen are of Minnesota and is one of my absolute favorite places in MN! Several weeks ago (April 2012), my mother and I visited the Arboretum to see the crab apple trees, daffodils, and tulips in bloom. I took an insane amount of pictures, two 4 gig memory cards to be exact. <3 I absolutely adore the arboretum and seeing all of the seasons unfold there. I promise to visit it during different times this Spring, Summer, and Fall to continue to chronicle some of their stunning beauties! ^_^ Please leave comments and let me know what you think! :D Cheers! So my mother and I have been going to the downtown Minneapolis Flower show since the store was originally owned by Dayton's, then Marshall Fields, and now Macy's. My first flower show, I remember being in a stroller and seeing big elephants made out of flowers. It was an image I will never forget. My mother used to go with her mother, then the three us of would go together, and now it is just me and mom. We looks forward to it every year and I am always able to get some wonderful shots. Over the next few days, I will be uploading the photos that I think were the best out of the 300+ pictures I took while there. Hope you all enjoy the color

The sun is shining, the Robins are twittering merrily, and the plants are in full Spring mode. This is very a-typical for those of us here in Minnesota, in MARCH!!! When I say this, I mean, that those of us here in MN can still get snow in May (it's happened). However, a Spring a like this in March is unheard of. In early March we were in the upper 70s, it was shorts, sandals, and summer dress weather. Don't get me wrong, we're not complaining...however, Winter never really came to MN this Winter, so a Spring being this early and this lovely is completely unbelievable.
